Greatest super market with the high quality products! Buffet stations are stocked with many varieties of items. Must haves are shrimp tempura, karage chicken, calamari rings, and the soups!

This place is an institution. It's considered the largest Japanese Market in the Metro Los Angeles area. My family and I have been coming here for years and unfortunately, I had not had the chance to review it. You can easily spend two hours in here, between looking at the premade food, eating in one of the restaurants in here or shopping for groceries . the parking lot can be super full at any time, and BEWARE because people dont look both ways walking , backing up or driving here. Park as far away as you can from the entrance to avoid any situation because people really cannot drive safely and I can't even stress this enough here. There are three or four parts to this market . There is a sushi restaurant upstairs. There is a food court downstairs. there is a prepared food section. There is the rest of the market. The items here are mostly all Japanese items imported, or made locally . The produce here is always super fresh and our items you will not find from any other market. The price is a little more expensive but you do get quality. This was unfortunately, my very first time at the hot food bar and I don't know what I was missing my whole life . I spent a good 30 minutes here trying to figure out what to get.

I've been coming here for years and I've never lived close to it. Just a really great store with great variety. I come here with no expectations, but I always come out with a full bag. I mostly only buy food and alcohol here, as that's really the main feature. But they have more. Anime/gaming merchandise, seasonal things, households, almost all Japanese imports. Some are domestic or from other countries but the collection of items are great. What I always look at is the wall of chilled drinks; sodas, teas, other drinks. Then the alcohol wall, but I always end up getting Orion because it's readily available here. After that I check out the kimchi section, the canned fish, and rice or pasta seasonings. I've shopped for produce here on occasion for the stuff you can't always find elsewhere and the quality is very good. There's practically nothing negative to say here really. Some of the prices maybe are considered steep but it's more about the variety that they have here you don't always see elsewhere.

Tokyo Central in Gardena is an expansive Japanese supermarket with plenty of parking, conveniently located across from the Albertsons plaza. The supermarket's non-food section is reminiscent of Japan's Don Quijote, filled with cosmetics, clothing, and themed merchandise that exudes Japanese culture and charm. The service here is also very friendly. The produce section is visually stunning, with displays enhanced by fake greenery foliage. The seafood section offers a wide array of fresh fish, while the alcohol section includes an impressive selection of Japanese beverages at affordable prices. The prepared food section is another highlight, featuring bento meal sets and rice bowls. I picked up onigiris for $1.99 each - they were only decent. Overall, Tokyo Central provides a comprehensive and enjoyable shopping experience. Whether you're looking for fresh groceries, authentic Japanese cuisine, or unique merchandise, this supermarket has something for everyone.

As someone who shops at Marukai in Honolulu, I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Tokyo Central in Gardena, CA. This stores offer a similar experience with a fantastic selection of Japanese groceries, snacks, and household items that remind me of the Marukai I know and love. If you're familiar with Marukai, you'll feel right at home in Tokyo Central, but with the added benefit of a much LARGER space and an even wider range of products to explore. Happy shopping!

WOW what an amazing store.....Youll get all the Asian groceries you need plus a huge emphasis on Japanese items. There's also a huge section of miscellaneous things so enjoy this mini Don Quixote! If you're here and you're in the mood for some sushi hop on upstairs to Waka Sakura which is amazing.

Get ready for a culinary adventure here! Tokyo Central is a huge Japanese market and just when you think you've seen everything there is to see, you'll turn a corner and realize there is WAY more to see. The sushi selection is huge and tasty. There's lots of hot food to choose from. The dessert selection is pretty large, too. And if you don't feel like any of those, there's a whole food court you can enjoy. I've had their Japanese curry and it was very delicious and comforting Not hungry? No problem. There's a whole kitchen section with useful items and tools for your own cooking, plus a toy and pet section. For my fellow cat owners: There's a section just for Churu treats and a huge variety of them. I've never seen so many in one location. So if your cat is as obsessed with these treats as mine is, you need to come here! There is a parking lot, but it tends to fill up - one time I went and I couldn't get parking because everyone knows how awesome this place is! Best to go during the week or during non-peak times.

Everyone knows that Japanese food is one of the best standards for a Blue Zone landscape because "you are what you eat!" Parts of California is considered blue zone and these can be attributed to food and lifestyle, too. But NOT all stores showcases fine and select Japanese seafood like the Toyota Centrals (2 in this Artesia and Gardena areas). Here, aside from an array of seafood and groceries, they also offer the freshest cut sashimi and sushi in small palatable packages in very affordable prices. There seems to be sold in two competing displays from the front and the back part of the grocery store. One huge part of their collection of nicely cut beef, chicken and pork meats, cleaned and sliced to your own delights. What's imposing is a nicely displayed and select Japanese and American wagyu steaks and cuts, that'll make you buy your favorite meats, ready to be cooked and served during those Lakers Basketball games. There's more, inside the store are a line of freshly cooked Japanese dishes that you don't usually see in Southern California Japanese stores, deliciously prepared a la carte hot foods ready to be enjoyed. If you prefer more restaurant like landscape, they have a sushi restaurant on the second floor or better yet, several smaller restaurants in the southern corner of the stores specializing on Japanese snacks, karate or chicken, and many other hot and newly cooked foods. Come to Tokyo Central and you'll never eat anywhere Japanese anywhere, anymore. What more can you ask? Itadakimas! Let's eat!

My favorite Japanese market! Not only do they have the items I need to make delicious meals they have house goods and cutey items perfect for gift giving. Prices are comparable if not cheaper since there are many sale items that rotate weekly. They have a large selection of ready made food and the to go boxes of sushi is unbelievably fresh. I always pick up a few to eat, one for there in their convenient food court table area by the front of the store and then a couple to take home for later. Large selection of Hawaiian drinks and snacks so you don't have to come back from Hawaii to get some chocolate covered macadamia nuts. The widest range of Spam flavors I've ever seen in my life. Seriously popular spot now since it's gone viral for their sushi restaurant upstairs.
